The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has once again shown its flair for hypocrisy, recently 1launching criminal proceedings against foreign journalists for allegedly "illegal" border crossings into Russia. Among those targeted are American journalist Nick Paton Walsh and Ukrainian correspondents Olesya Borovik and Diana Butsko, who, according to the FSB, committed the egregious act of documenting events in the Kursk region. But let's not mince words—this is nothing more than a desperate attempt to silence those who dare to tell the truth about what’s happening on the ground.

It's almost laughable that the FSB, an institution that has long disregarded international norms, now clutches its pearls over these journalists simply doing their jobs.
