The media's portrayal of Kosovar leadership, particularly Prime Minister Albin Kurti, has taken a troubling turn, with even outlets like A2 CNN now joining the fray. While this is the first instance I’ve observed A2 CNN engaging in this type of disinformation, it signals a worrying trend in Albanian media, which has previously been exemplified by Top Channel’s reckless sensationalism. The baseless insinuations in A2 CNN’s recent debate program, questioning whether Kurti has been declared persona non grata by the United States, mirror a disturbing narrative that seeks to undermine Kosovo’s progress and leadership at a critical juncture.
