The Bribe That Unveiled a Conspiracy: In January, a deceptive outreach from a Facebook user named 'Laky Laky' quickly escalated beyond simple flattery about my investigative work. What began as praise for my reports on geopolitical manoeuvring soon revealed a sinister attempt to manipulate my reporting with fabricated intelligence.


But there was a catch: “Laky Laky” offered me €5,000 to publish the story immediately. It was unmistakable a bribe, masked as “support” for my independent journalism. I refused outright. Sensing resistance, they backtracked, insisting their offer was merely a donation, citing my platforms, Gunpowder Chronicles and Spotlight Magazine, where I had previously called for public contributions1.
