Kosovo Moves to Strengthen Democracy Amid International Backlash
The West’s insistence on including Srpska Lista isn't diplomacy, it’s complicity in terrorism, enabling Serbia’s Kremlin-backed agenda to destabilise Kosovo and crush its sovereignty.
The recent decision by Kosovo’s Central Election Commission (CEC) to disqualify the Serbian List (Srpska Lista)1 from participating in the February 2025 elections2 is a long-overdue step towards safeguarding the integrity of Kosovo’s democracy. Yet, instead of applauding this necessary action, the United States3, European Union4, and key Western embassies5 have responded with dismay, further solidifying their tacit support for a party that functions as a political arm of Kremlin-aligned Serbia and a conduit for destabilisation in the Balkans. This is not just a policy misstep; it is an act of complicity in enabling terrorism6 on Kosovo’s soil.
