Kosovo's Strategic Leap: Inking CISMOA Amid Betrayal, Sabotage, and Sovereignty Struggles

"A big step forward in making both our nations stronger and safer." With those words, the United States Embassy in Pristina announced1 a historic development on May 13, 2025: the signing of the Communications Interoperability and Security Memorandum of Agreement (CISMOA) between the U.S. Department of Defence and the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). Kosovo thus became the 33rd global partner to enter into this strategic defence agreement, reinforcing secure communications and military interoperability.
